Iceland´s award-winning concert hall Harpa and Reykjavik City proudly present an event, Reykjavik Classics in Eldborg Harpa in summer 2017. The new concert series is a welcome addition to the vibrant scene of arts and culture in the Capital and is specifically designed to fulfill the demand raised by the enthusiasts of music among international travellers, in particular those who wish to listen to live performances of classical music, performed by artists of the highest caliber, in “one of the ten best concert halls of the new millennium” (Gramophone).
Reykjavik Classics in Harpa begins on June 26th and will be running every day until August 16th. There will be two concerts each day, starting at 12.30 and 15.30 and lasts for a total of 30 minutes without intermission. The program offers representative masterworks from the classical repertoire. The performing artists are leading soloists in Iceland with international honors and professional achievements to their credit, from the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera. Artistic director of Reykjavik Classics is pianist Nína Margrét Grímsdóttir. Harpa´s exquisite restaurants offer 10% discount off the lunch menu for all concert ticket holders.
